Cyclone Aila was the second named tropical cyclone of the 2009 north indian ocean cyclone season. It caused extensive damage in India and Bangladesh.
The Storm was responsible for at least 339 deaths across Bangladesh and India, more than one million people were left homeless. A large part of the sundarban was badly affected by the cyclone aila. Thousands of people were left homeless and didn’t have any food left to eat or have drinking water or even clothes to wear.
HELPP along with his team of volunteers distributed old clothes and dry foods among some affected people to provide even the primary aid to those who had lost everything due to the crisis.
