Paper Wala Pappu

The minimum necessities are food, clothing, housing, education and other basic human needs. More than 800 million people in India are considered poor, most of them live in the countryside and keep afloat with odd jobs.

They are too poor to afford brand new clothing from time to time. Most of the time they are seen wearing torn or dirty clothes. When he started to go to some villages for social work, he became very sad to see their situation. He collected old clothes in good condition from various places in Kolkata and reached out to some remote areas in west bengal. He distributed old clothes among villagers of Amlashole & Belpahari (West Midnapur), Puncha (Purulia), Jamtala & Gabtala & Mondoler Hat (Sundarban, South 24 Parganas).

Human beings cannot stay alive without basic needs like food, clothes, shelter. Especially without food, human beings can’t survive for a long time. Most of the villagers in our country are living below the poverty line. At times they go about their days doubtful whether they could feed their families even a single meal. They are compelled to go to sleep empty stomach. After starting mid day meals at all government schools, families are relieved because their children can at least have a single meal from Monday to saturday. Most of the children go to school not for lessons but mainly for the meal.

After having lunch at school, they wish to bring some excess food at home for their siblings, their parents and their family members but they’re unable to bring it due to the lock at the tiffin box. This is the reason he started collecting various old tiffin boxes from different places in Kolkata and distributed these among children of Belpahari (West Midnapur).
