He came to know about the hunger problem that prevailed in our society and that gave him the idea of utilizing the canceled order food. It is necessary to mention that he is a Zomato delivery boy. Technically, when a customer cancels the order, the delivery guys are instructed to either return the food or take it home.
While most delivery guys take the food home, he took the food to feed the unprivileged children living in the Dumdum Cantonment Railway station, Kolkata that includes dishes like egg rolls, biriyani, chicken rolls and more. He believes that feeding hungry kids is not less than a blessing.
The habit of wasting food at festivals, parties or even at household dinners has become an increasingly callous trend in urban living, where millions of people in our country can’t get a single meal during a day. Even children are unfed during the day & at night too.They go to bed empty stomach .
He has taken an initiative to stop wastage of food. He collects excess food from any party/function and distributes this to street children/ unprivileged children and poor people.
