He took an initiative to stop wastage of water. There are many water faucets on the road side in & around Kolkata for the interest of common people. Most of the time they see either the water faucet is broken or people don’t close it after using water from it. He started an awareness campaign about “Save Water”. He uninstalled all broken faucets not only in his area but also in his neighborhood area & installed new faucets there so that not a single drop of water is wasted. His student Vijay accompanied him.
Even though trees offer so many benefits and are extremely important for maintaining the ecological balance, we are cutting them ruthlessly. Tree plantation is essential to compensate for the loss. The initiative to give back to nature was much needed. Volunteers of Helpp Association accompanied him on planting trees in several areas of Dumdum. They have reached several remote places like Balakhali hut of Baruipur & 3 villages of Sundarban like Jamtala, Gabtala & Mandaler hut & have planted trees there.
Parthenium is very dangerous for human beings and animals. It may cause the death of human beings and animals as well. It is grown on road side & crop fields. He saw Perthenium at Lichubagan playground in Dumdum Cantonment and with help of volunteers made sure to eradicate the problem.
